PACTS4CHANGE
My name is Lisa M. Algee and I'm the creator and founder of PACTS4Change, which is a network of Parents, Administrators, Children, Teachers, and Scientists all coming together
4 positive, productive change about today's complex environmental, animal, and social justice issues.
I have a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a BS in Biological Sciences, and a Masters, Ph.D., and Post-Doc in Science Education.
I have taught K-College for over 20 years and what I have come to realize, especially during today's times, is how essential it is to get our students involved with real world issues. Students want to learn about their world, whether it's an environmental, animal, or social justice issue. They want to have meaningful, relevant, and thought provoking conversations with their teachers, parents, and peers. They want to make positive, productive change about issues they care about.

-
We create real world learning curriculum which is Common Core & Next Generation Science standard aligned.
-
Lessons and activities spark motivation on topics, issues, and problems of interest to students.
-
This curriculum evokes opportunities for collaborative interactions with specialists, experts, and scientists.
-
Through this collaboration, students practice critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills.
-
These, in turn, carry over into their everyday lives and prepare them to become informed, productive, and proactive local/global citizens.
-
As a result, students not only become active stewards for the environment, animals, and under-represented people, but they also cultivate life-long learning skills which prepare them for successful futures!
-
Parents and teachers will be inspired to see their children/students taking the initiative with their learning.
-
Administrators will benefit as students' motivation manifests into positive learning gains/outcomes.
-
Thus, through this network, we become stronger and smarter together.
